teknium1 a28aaa1edf fix(update): migrate the first cut's gc.auto=0 too, by both cuts' fingerprint
73c17151f6 (Sep 29) persisted maintenance.auto=false, gc.auto=0 and
fetch.writeCommitGraph=false in treeless install checkouts. 6880ffc1af
stopped writing gc.auto=0 but never removed it, and `gc --auto` with
gc.auto=0 is a no-op (git skips every heuristic, gc.autoPackLimit included),
so the update's pack fold never ran on those checkouts: 203 -> 203 packs.

The previous commit's fingerprint required gc.writeCommitGraph=false, which
only the Oct 2 cut wrote, so the Sep 29 cohort also kept maintenance.auto=false.
Both cuts wrote maintenance.auto=false together with
fetch.writeCommitGraph=false and neither wrote
maintenance.commit-graph.enabled; that pair is now the fingerprint, and
gc.auto=0 is removed under it as well. An operator's own lone
maintenance.auto=false still never matches.

Real clear_git_debris() on a treeless clone with 203 lazy-fetch packs, git
2.53.0 and 2.55.0 alike:
  Sep 29 keys:   main 203 -> 203, #131741 203 -> 203, this 203 -> 1 (both keys gone)
  Oct 2 keys:    203 -> 1, maintenance.auto gone
  operator's own maintenance.auto=false: 203 -> 1, setting kept

# git 2.53+ promisor fetches run index-pack --promisor, whose repack_local_links() BUG()s in
# pack-objects (should_include_obj) when an object outside the promisor packs leads to a
# promisor-missing one (#124272). The unmarked packs stay, so fetches keep dying until they are
# marked. The assertion is the fingerprint; a terminator line confirms the helper aborted. Those
# lines vary by build (POSIX "died of signal 6", Windows "could not finish pack-objects to repack
# local links", git 2.55 "fetch-pack: invalid index-pack output", #125138), so a new git wording
# needs a new terminator here.

``runner(git_cmd, args) -> CompletedProcess`` and ``git_cmd + fetch_args`` is the plain
fetch argv. On the crash, ``repo_root``'s unmarked packs get a ``.promisor`` file and the
identical fetch runs once more. The retry's result is returned whatever its exit code, so the caller keeps its
normal failure handling. (A ``-c remote.origin.promisor=`` override does not help: git
registers promisor remotes additively, so the repo's own ``true`` still wins.)

"""Fold a partial clone's lazy-fetch packfiles back into one; returns how many packs went away.
Every on-demand fetch a promisor remote serves writes its own small packfile, and nothing in
the update workflow ever consolidates them — a ``tree:0`` installer checkout lazy-fetches
blob by blob, so ``.git`` grows without bound (2,475 packs / 39 GiB observed for a ~1 GiB
repo, #129712). ``git gc --auto`` already knows when this is worth doing: it exits in
milliseconds while the small-pack count sits under ``gc.autoPackLimit`` (default 50) and
repacks them into one pack once past it, keeping the ``.promisor`` marker. The gc must not
write a commit-graph (see ``_TREE0_MAINTENANCE_OFF``): over a Bloom-carrying graph that is a
lazy fetch per unseen commit, so the same call that folds 100 packs would leave 30 new ones.
Runs under ``bounded_probe_run`` because ``subprocess.run(timeout=)`` kills only ``git gc``
and leaves its ``pack-objects`` child running. ``on_fold_start(pack_count)`` fires just before
a fold gc will actually do (pack count past the limit), so the caller can say why the update
went quiet. Best-effort like every helper here: never raises, returns 0 for a non-partial
checkout or when nothing folded, and ``None`` when the fold hit its time limit.
