update_lock caches this process's creation time (_OWN_CT). Warmed by an earlier test through psutil, it differed from the stdlib probe identity() uses with psutil hidden by that probe's resolution (macOS `ps -o lstart`: 1 s), so the test failed in a full-file run and passed alone. It now starts from an empty cache, so both sides use the same probe.
