useStatusbarContributions (panes.tsx) memoizes on the array
useContributions returns, which depends on getArea handing back a
stable reference until the area actually mutates. Nothing asserted
that invariant directly, so a future change to the snapshot cache
could silently reintroduce the #91603 remount bug with no failing
test to catch it.
