The salvaged test read as a second copy of the switch-wipe test; it actually covers the one door the wipe cannot reach — a cold boot straight into a remote gateway with nothing remembered, where `$currentCwd` was initialised from the local key and no beginGatewaySwitch runs. Say so in the name and comment so the two tests are not later "deduplicated" into one.
