Pin uv and uvx to the PM interpreter instead of ambient Python discovery.
A matching dependency stamp cannot prove that installed files still exist.
Repair now rebuilds the recorded workspace and lock in a fresh generation,
checks startup imports, and publishes the selection only after success.
Run startup recovery before dependency activation. Keep manual PM repair
reachable when the selected environment is damaged. Preserve plugin
selection, retry ownership, and the previous generation on failure.
Remove the separate pip, ensurepip, per-extra, and install-time quarantine
ladders. Keep orphan launcher restoration.
Verification: 717 targeted tests passed on native Windows ARM64, with
56 skipped. Ruff, diff checks, and the source-scoped compat check passed.
A disposable real Hermes install recovered deleted YAML and dotenv files,
then printed CLI help with exit 0. Its lock and stamp stayed unchanged.
The full suite and a release build were not run for this change.
Merge upstream b1f003e186 while preserving PM runtime ownership and
Python 3.14 worker startup, Windows signing, and macOS wait recovery.
Keep retired runtime modules deleted. Port upstream updater preflight
checks into the checkout strategy and preserve live build logging.
Carry checkpoint filename handling and process recovery into the current
module layout. Regenerate locks and adapt incoming platform test markers.
Focused Python and JavaScript tests, desktop and root-test typechecks,
conflict-path lint checks, lock validation, and retired-import checks pass.
The full test suite and packaged release builds were not run.
Port Adolanium's focused-turn pose from Hermes-Bot-Mode#101 and
hermes-agent#88134 to the current typed Bot Mode implementation.
Match the busy signal's connection-qualified focused owner rather than
the gateway socket, retain worker activity, and ease transitions in
elapsed time on the existing shared face clock.
Includes owner-isolation and animated-pose invariants, both proven red
on origin/main, and native Electron before/after verification against
a real temporary Hermes backend with held loopback inference.

Add Move up/down controls for actual rooms without changing bot or folder
ordering. Preserve default pin/activity ordering until an explicit move,
retain hidden room slots, and persist Desktop-local order through room
updates, mirror merges, and hydration. No membership or routing writes.
Adapted narrowly from the group ordering idea in archived
NousResearch/Hermes-Bot-Mode#105 by @onuraycicek; rename already exists.

Lowering the session trigger must not replace the window-relative lean
selection budget with threshold times target_ratio. Invalidate the lean
cache through the existing property while preserving explicit legacy and
external-engine fallback behavior.
Narrow adaptation of the aux-sync diagnosis and invariants in #93576,
without adding a required recalibration method to context engines.

Complete the PR #101452 salvage, preserving sprmn24 authorship. Credit @kokhlo PR #101591 for independently diagnosing the in-flight rename race; use scoped authoritative room bindings rather than persistent aliases. Keep mention attention independent and retire late work after disband.
The pyopen-wakeword universal2 wheel contains an ARM64-only TFLite library.
Exclude that dependency on Intel macOS in both wake extras and the PM gate.
Keep sherpa and Porcupine available without changing the selected provider.
Wake status now refuses unsupported engines even when lazy installs are
allowed. It recommends supported alternatives instead of a failing install.
The documentation identifies the platform limit and the configuration command.
Marker and status regressions failed before the change. Focused tests pass:
52 passed and 2 skipped on Python 3.11, 50 passed and 4 skipped on native
Python 3.14. Frozen exports retain both Intel alternatives. No locked package
versions changed. Native release acceptance remains pending.

- windows-native: the troubleshooting entry told users to set HERMES_GATEWAY_FORCE_STARTUP (no code reads it), query a task named HermesGateway (hermes_cli/gateway_windows.py names it Hermes_Gateway), and described the Startup-folder fallback as a cmd.exe shortcut (it writes a .vbs run via wscript.exe). Closes#88077.
- faq: 'hermes config set HERMES_MODEL ...' does not change the default model; 'model.default' does. Closes#65855.
- messaging/index, slash-commands, irc: gateway settings are read from ~/.hermes/config.yaml (gateway/config.py), not gateway-config.yaml. Closes#65857, closes#78276.

Since v2026.8.31 (#99007 gateway-owned room authority, #99047 replica takeover, #99099 gateway-side turn driver) a room whose members all live on one gateway continues without any Desktop attached. The Bot Mode page carries the cross-machine and replication beats but never states this durability, so readers still assume the Desktop drives the room. Adds one bullet under Groups and group chats; groups.capabilities.driver flag per tui_gateway/methods_groups.py.
hermes mcp login --flow device (RFC 8628, #104891, v2026.9.7) is documented on reference/mcp-config-reference but the user-guide MCP page, where people land when the loopback callback cannot reach their browser, still lists only Desktop relay, paste-back, SSH forward and proxied redirect_uri. Adds one bullet with a link to the reference section.
The code-execution page describes project vs strict mode, the minimal environment and the RPC channel, but never mentions that execute_code calls share a persistent per-session kernel (tools/code_kernel.py), that a timeout kills the kernel, that reset=true exists, or that stdout beyond 50 KB is spilled to cache/exec with the path returned (tools/code_execution_tool.py). Defaults from hermes_cli/config_defaults.py (kernel_idle_timeout 1800, max_session_kernels 4). Remote-backend kernel and fail-open per-call fallback from tools/code_kernel_remote.py.
The Automatic Cleanup section on the same page states that sessions.auto_prune is on by default (since #54189, default flipped to True in hermes_cli/config_defaults.py), while the tip box under the prune commands still said "auto-prune ships disabled. Enable it if...". A reader gets two answers from one page. Rewrites the tip to the shipped default and shows how to turn it off.
The delegation page and the delegation-patterns guide still stated the pre-v2026.8.31 defaults (50 iterations, 3 concurrent subagents). Shipped values: DEFAULT_MAX_ITERATIONS = 250 (tools/delegate_tool.py) and max_concurrent_children: 10 (hermes_cli/config_defaults.py). The per-task output_schema contract (one bounded correction retry, schema_valid / schema_errors on the result) was not documented anywhere on the page. The Max Iterations section also showed max_iterations as a per-call argument; delegate_task ignores caller-supplied values and reads delegation.max_iterations from config.
Preserve Ben Barclay's diagnosis and replace the staging-file approach with
SQLite-coordinated writes and a five-second backup callback deadline. A
main-file replacement can replay an abandoned destination WAL; immutable
source reads can miss committed source WAL. Neither raw copy nor replacement
is safe when the destination is locked.
Refuse unavailable auth databases without raw-copy fallback, retaining the
existing close-browser-and-retry flow. Keep two invariant tests for lock
refusal/recovery and source-versus-destination WAL contents. Convert existing
text masquerading as database fixtures into real SQLite fixtures.

receipts stdlib-only and align the cryptography requirement and override
with the locked version.
Let bundle builders declare launch paths and update ownership. Remove

Document setup, activation, optional dependencies, and distribution

Complete the type-array normalization salvaged from #55643: stringify mixed
union enum metadata, preserve existing anyOf constraints, and keep array
items and object properties/required on the corresponding typed branches.
Exercise real native request serialization over loopback and Google SDK
validation with a scalar control; no live Google credentials were available.
Route local producers to durable owner ingress before attempting the unowned
CLI lane. Preserve per-run/per-message IDs and receipt-first retry handling;
never fall back after ambiguous admission. Report cron admission as queued,
not completed or failed, in job status, the execution ledger and CLI/tool UX.
Native isolated Electron validation reproduces SESSION_NOT_OWNED on main for
both idle and busy owners. Fixed owner consumes idle cron, busy cron, local
DM and mounted-chat cron exactly once, keeps its lease, yields to queued
human input, and preserves the prior model-request prefix and tool schema.
Inference alone used a deterministic loopback wire stub; no paid model call.
Adapt the command-position, bounded-candidate and launcher-option work from
embwl0x's #76063 to the current detection owner, then add executable basename
projection from Rohith Pariki's #104338. Parse raw quote state before applying
existing text normalization so quoted arguments do not become commands.
Cover shell payloads and literal env split-string carriers, retain path-specific
rules and whole-command globs, and document the supported normalization rather
than claiming an OS capability sandbox. Related: #104308, #76037, #76063,
#104338, #78521, #86711. No automatic closing directives: the older carriers
also contain broader case syntax and git-option work not included here.

Carry the owning task's notification subscriptions independently of dependency
edges, within the creation transaction. Prefer its durable session over worker
and request-local sessions while preserving explicit overrides. Cover worker
CLI create and built-in decomposition, and retain conversation route anchors.
Auto-subscribe no longer upgrades an inherited passive subscription.
Slim adaptation of Christopher-Schulze's session-precedence fix in #85687,
expanded to durable subscription provenance and sibling creation paths.

Validation: strict RED/GREEN (7 failing cases before; 7 passing after), then
58 Kanban test files: 383 passed, 2 skipped. Real dispatcher-spawn subprocess
probe covers direct, linked, unlinked, explicit-session, worker CLI, built-in

Authorize route-only profiles using the ordered canonical route matcher and
served-profile set at both claim and delivery. Preserve secondary credential
boundaries, retry denied routes, and keep scope/parent anchors plus transport
provenance on synthetic wakes. Install the destination runtime scope rather
than inheriting the notifier's scope; a removed profile cannot wake as primary.
Slim forward-port of the direction in #101196/#101397 and #93863 (#93851).
Canonical scope_id takes precedence over the guild alias and live chat cache.
Two route invariants and two runtime-scope invariants reproduced red first.

Bind settlement to the exact adapter task and event. Rejected or cancelled preparation refunds the existing claim; cancellation after the agent runner starts remains counted. Keep profile-scoped callback context and the manager replacement guard. A fire count is not outbound delivery proof. Drop departed routes rather than executing their stale schedule.
Slim accounting-invariant salvage of #93174; preserve current direct adapter dispatch instead of reviving its FIFO/inflight implementation. Prior art #92858.

Recover active watches from current persisted session origins and exact route
keys, reading heartbeat state off-loop in each source's profile. Failed scans
leave watches intact for the poller's next retry. Start the heartbeat poller
even when startup restores no watches.
Slim synthesis of #92660, #98310 and #98313, with earlier restart recovery
prior art from #92594. The integration poller calls restore_heartbeat_watches
on every poll, including empty registries.

Namespace delivery markers and assign fresh keyless turn identities instead
of inferring ownership from IDs or process-local row baselines. Query only
marker existence on the canonical live compression continuation and ancestors.
Preserve raw reply IDs and exclude metadata from provider wire messages.
Expand the two existing invariants with resumed cross-chat ID collisions,
a real independent SQLite writer, reaped siblings, and archived-history
allocation controls. All 20 full-handler checkpoints and 63 targeted tests pass.
